Fun on Campus & in Leadville

You might have noticed the terrain park behind Mountain View Residence Hall. If not, no worries – you will definitely notice it once we have a few inches of snow on the ground! Students in the Ski Area Operations program are in charge of building and maintaining the features so get ready for a FUN winter.

The Mineral Belt Trail runs through campus, providing students, staff, faculty & the community with miles and miles of trails used for cross-country skiing, running, biking & more.

The seasonal Disc Golf Course is just behind the entrance to the Mineral Belt Trail, which boasts 18 holes of moderately wooded and hilly terrain. Challenging – and awesome!

Tobacco smoking on campus is limited to designated areas referred to as “Smoking Huts.” There are 2 “Smoking Huts” on campus. One between the residence hall and Coronado Cafe and the second is just west of the New Discovery Academic Building.

Parking

Campus residents can have a car on campus, and parking is free! There is ample parking availability near the residence hall.
