NRM Summer Internships Provide Professional Experience
Natural Resource Management summer interns had a busy summer working as Field Technicians for the Timberline Institute. Technicians worked on a series of projects, ranging from identifying plants in high altitude wetlands to teaching STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) education for local, Lake County K-12 students in the Rockies Rock summer camp program.
The Timberline Field Institute provides opportunities for paid internships for NRM Students. The Natural Resource Management Timberline Field Institute offers students unique internship opportunities to directly interact with environmental professionals. Student field technicians have worked on projects with organizations like the EPA, BLM, USFS and USGS. Interns obtain relevant field and laboratory experience including field monitoring, sample laboratory analysis, data entry and report writing.
