Learning Assistance Center: Homework Help, Group Projects and Free Tutoring
Colorado Mountain College Leadville is committed to student success. We offer a variety of academic resources at the Learning Assistance Center, including free tutoring, help with homework, group projects, and more. The Learning Assistance Center, located across from the Library in the Pinnacle Building, is open, staffed and ready to help. There are two tutors, Elio Navarro and David Robinson, available to counsel students in English, Math, Psychics, Geology, and more.
The room has eleven computers, a scanner, printer, and eight tables for student use. Students are sometimes referred to the LAC by instructors, but can also come in on their own accord if they are interested in improving their academic performance. The LAC is not just for students who are struggling academically. In fact, many students who come to the LAC are succeeding and taking advantage of the resources offered on campus.
Elio Navarro is available to tutor students in English composition, writing, reading, speech and general help with homework, time management and college success during these hours:
Monday – noon to 4:30 p.m.
Tuesday – 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Wednesday – noon to 4:30 p.m.
Thursday – 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.
David Robinson is available to help students in math, physics, geology, and computer applications including Excel during these hours:
Tuesday – noon to 6 p.m.
Wednesday – noon to 6 p.m.
Thursday – noon to 6 p.m.
Need help outside of tutoring hours? Send an email to Elio (firstname.lastname@example.org) or David (email@example.com) to arrange a one-on-one tutoring session at other times.
