NRM Program Open House & Live Broadcast Q&A on April 11
The Natural Resource Management (NRM) program at Colorado Mountain College Leadville is hosting an open house event on April 11, 2018. This free event is open to all who are interested in learning more about the NRM program and NRM Field Institute. Participants will learn program specifics, tour campus and NRM facilities, participate in an interactive demonstration, enjoy a free dinner, and attend a Q&A session with a panel of NRM faculty, students and graduates.
The Natural Resource Management program at CMC Leadville connects field-based experiential learning with paid internship opportunities. Students are exposed to a variety of career paths and graduate with valuable applied experience. Leadville, CO is situated at 10,200 feet between the northern Sawatch and Mosquito ranges. As the highest elevation college campus in the country, CMC’s Leadville campus is the ideal location for the Natural Resource Management program.
The NRM program is home to a state-of-the-art analytical lab and industry standard field equipment. Students and instructors practice applied science in the mountain environment, utilizing the alpine environment to make observations, collect data, and test hypotheses.
For those that cannot attend the in-person open house event, the Q&A session will be shared via Facebook Live on the CMC Leadville Facebook page. Viewers can participate in the informational session, and comment with their questions. Panel members will include NRM faculty members, current students and graduates of the program.
