The course will be run on CMC Leadville campus trails. The start and finish line is located on the multi-purpose fields. Racers will be on the west trails first and then climb into the eastern trails. There is nearly 500 feet in elevation gain for the 8K course. The 8K will do the beginning 2K loop twice: once at the beginning and again at the end. The course is rolling hills and 99.9% on trails. Leadville is at 10,200′ elevation, which means there is always a possibility of snow.
