Backyard Terrain Park Remains Open for Students Through Winter break

Backyard Terrain Park will be Open Over Winter Break

Ski Area Operations students have been busy these last few weeks on more than just final exams. Thanks to their hard work, the backyard terrain park at Colorado Mountain College Leadville is now open for the winter season. The terrain park will remain open through winter break, as long as snow and weather conditions permit.

For CMC Leadville Students Only

The on-campus backyard terrain park is only open to Colorado Mountain College Leadville students, both residential and commuter. At this point in time, the CMC Leadville terrain park is not open to the public.

Terrain Park Hours

Terrain park hours are consistent with Mountain View Residence Hall quiet hours. Students may use the backyard terrain park from 8am – 10pm on Sunday – Thursday and from 10am – 12am on Fridays and Saturdays.

Safety Rules

The terrain park is not monitored and students assume their own risk by using it. Helmets are strongly recommended.

Safety rules are posted on the National Ski Industry sign. Additionally, all Colorado Mountain College rules must also be followed including, no drugs or alcohol, no smoking, no campfires, no firearms, and dogs must be on leash.
